My favorite weekly radio show, Trance Around The World, is now available as a podcast. In the past, I’ve had to download the show by hand, either from Trance Fresh or The Mixing Bowl if I needed to prop up my ratio. This show is usually the musical highlight of my week, so having it appear magically on my computer straight from the source and at a known level of quality is fantastic.

OK, so I’m a fanboy, but go check out Joss’ latest project, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, anyway. Episodes I and II are online already, with the final episode scheduled for Saturday.
Neil Patrick Harris steals the show so far, but Nathan Fillion never fails to entertain, going from comically over-archetypal superhero to penis…erm, dick at the drop of a hat. Does Nathan remind anyone else of a young Elvis, or is it just me and my man-crush?

Little know fact: Weezer fans are 60% more likely to drink microbrew beer.
Glad to see someone gaining traction from our idea, even if we could not.

Kev posted a link in IRC yesterday to the video for Mute Math’s Typical. Backwards videos are nothing new, but that is some catchy shit.

Shaver’s still on the mend, but perhaps he can rest a little easier knowing his ticket to the Goo Goo Dolls + Counting Crows concert didn’t go to waste last night.

Dear LazyWeb:
Often when I come home from running errands I will be in the middle of a song/podcast on my iPod when I turn it off and come inside. Is there any way to have iTunes automatically cue up the same song at the same spot when I plug in my iPod so I can continue listening where I left off? I’ve tried everything short of full sync mode to no avail.

Sometime back in the 1.0.x days, Flash stopped working in Firefox on my Linux box. Well, that’s not entirely accurate, I was still getting audio, but no video was being displayed. Largely I didn’t care, it just saved me the trouble of installing Flashblock.
My recent discovery of Pandora made me anxious to finally find a solution, since the Pandora front-end is entirely Flash-based. After searching for a good while, I came across this article which identified the culprit as Adblock. Disabling Adblock got Flash working again. If I had known in advance that Adblock was the culprit, it would have been quite easy to find references to the problem, but starting with just “linux+firefox+flash+video+no+workee” was a bit of a slog.
In fairness to Adblock, I tried updating to the latest version of the extension afterward, and Flash continues to work. I’m now running Adblock “v.5 d3 * nightly 42″ (what kind of version number is that?) and Flash plugin version 7.0 r61 on Linux without any issues. Yay!

Based on what you’ve told us so far, we’re playing this track because it features east coast rap influences, syncopated beats, headnodic beats, clear pronunciation, and cash obsessed lyrics.
I’m all about the pronunciation, baybee. Pandora is awesome.
