Uncle Dan hooked Will and I up with some sweet seats in the IBM box for the Monster Spectacular on Father’s Day.
If you need something to watch once you download Firefox 3 later today, I’ve uploaded a few videos of the action. Sadly, there was no Truckasaurus.

This post is primarily directed at my family, friends, and anyone who I’ve helped to install Firefox over the years. Hopefully my co-workers already know how awesome we are.
A new version of Firefox is coming out on Tuesday. Casual internet users may be asking themselves, “I already have a web browser. Why should I update to Firefox 3?” There’s lots of great stuff in Firefox 3, but several of the new features bear special highlighting for casual users:

It’s a brave new world in which I can be scooped by not one but both grandmothers in posting about the arrival of my own daughter.
Isla May Rudnitski Cooper arrived at 8:28am on Monday, weighing 8 lbs 6 oz. Such things are relative, but Kris tells me it was easier than last time. I’ll take her word on it. I’m still impressed as hell.
Will and Isla have met, and they seem to get along so far.

Rules you never thought you needed: tables and couches make perfectly good roads for toy cars, but the cat is off-limits.

If you can afford bus fare, you can entertain my son for hours. Luckily, London has more than enough buses to go around.
I’ve posted photos from the Spanish leg of our journey to flickr (even upgraded to pro in the process), but I’ll hold off on posting anything from England until we get home.

Perhaps in response to my previous entry, or perhaps in response to my glacial pace of putting new content online, Kristina has started her own flickr account.

While I can’t recommend the 16->20 hour drive each way, spending some quality time at the seashore in Nova Scotia was a lot of fun. The drive could have been worse too. Luckily the moose we saw (2) were just approaching the road rather than already astride it.
Will loved spending time with his Grandma and investigating her enormous house. He seems to love the beach almost as much as he loves trucks.
As always, flickr tells the tale. I should probably point out that although I’m the one posting the pics, I’m obviously *in* a lot of the photos, so I have to give props to Kristina for the quality of the photography. She has taken some fantastic photos.

It seems like only yesterday that she was first learning COBOL, but my mom now has a blog.

My parents left to spend the summer out in Nova Scotia on Thursday, and as such they narrowly missed their grandson walking on his own for the first time. I share it with them now through the magic of the Interweb.
