Things I learned in my first year of fatherhood:
- You can bank as much sleep as you want before the baby is born, but you’ll use it all up in that first week. It will, however, allow you to survive that first week.
- Poop happens. Deal. This is further proof that you can get used to anything.
- Postpartum happens. Talk to someone. Get help. Fathers, I’m talking to you here.
- My favorite things in the world are baby smiles.
