Not for the faint of stomach or wallet, but if you are in the mood for full French service and a multiple course dining experience, then Signatures, the restaurant adjunct to the Cordon Bleu school here in Ottawa, should definitely be at the top of your list. I had the richest, tastiest lobster bisque in the history of the universe, and chatting with the server at our table while he prepared the pear caramel to accompany my chocolate mille-feuille in a big copper saucepan was quite the treat. Next time I go, I will have to leave the car at home so I can try the wine pairing recommendations to accompany whichever menu fixe I end up choosing.

Hey, Chris, you had the same menu as Heather and I tried a couple of weeks back… and pretty near the same opinion of it as we had too. The service is not to be equaled, and the food is spectacular. Heather and I did take the wine pairings because it was a special treat for a special birthday and I blew the roll – but we thought it was worth every one of my 35,000 pennies!
I’m totally jealous
